The California Technology Foundation receives gratification in providing scholarships to students who wish to begin their post-secondary education. Scholarships help students fulfill their dreams. Not only do scholarships help students, but they also have a positive impact on the student’s family. Family is important to students and when they get a better education, they can assist their parents and the community. That is why CTF highly believes in having and maintaining a scholarship program to assist student who wish to begin their post-secondary education.

Who is eligible to apply?
Applicant must be a student attending high school, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and must also meet CTF Scholarship requirements.

What are the requirements?
Submit an Essay
Submit transcripts that support a B average (GPA of 2.8)
Two Recommendations (one academic and one community service)
One paragraph biographical sketch
Junior or senior attending high school
Preparing and planning for admission to an eligible public or independent college or university in the United States of America for at least the first two years of college.

Annual family income level that is considered low income family to the standards of the State of California family income levels and has low or modest family assets. Factors that support this eligibility include the parental income level and family assets that follow.

  • Been consistently below the income level shown for your family size and is not expected to substantially increase.

    * If your family will support one or more siblings in college at the same time the applicant will be in college, add one to the family size number before determining if your family will be in college, add one to family size number before determining if your family income level qualifies. (For example, a family of four that will have another child in college at the same time the applicant will be in college should use the income level for a family size of five.)

    OR

  • Your family’s income level has recently decreased due to change circumstances (e.g. death, divorce, illness etc.) and is expected to remain near this level during the entire duration of your college attendance

    AND

    Family assets: Your own and parents’ financial assets, including net business and farm assets, are less than $50,000. (The value of your family’s principal home and their official retirement plant assets are not counted.)

Amount Granted
$500 per semester – Valued up to $3,000

Total amount of scholarship money award may vary.
Availability of scholarships is limited and will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis.
